2007 December 5
by Angela

Since I was a kid I have LOVED watching Christmas movies every holiday season.  My parents wouldn’t let us start watching them until Thanksgiving, but I have rebelled against that and now I start watching them on November 1st!  I just can’t wait!  Here’s my top ten favorite Christmas movies…

10.  Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer

9.  Christmas with the Kranks

8. Home Alone 2

7. Home Alone

6. National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

5. Miracle on 34th Street (the original)

4.  A Christmas Story

3. It’s a Wonderful Life

2.  White Christmas

1.  The Nativity Story

What are your favorites?  Merry Christmas!

Angela, You didn’t leave much from the list. But another one of my faves is Christmas Carol. the one with George C Scott is the best.
And Bells of St Marys is good too. I bought that one. Maybe I will have to break it out this week.

    Love you,
    Mom

I forgot that one. It is good. I have a Mickey Mouse Christmas video, I will have to bring it down Saturday.

How about “How the Grinch stole Christmas”. The animated one, not the one with Jim Carey. That one looks to scarey to me. The Grinch should only be animated.

    Love you,
    Mom

I’ve seen the live action Grinch (with Jim Carey) and it wasn’t very good. I like the animated one too! There are lots of oldie but goodie Christmas specials, like “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and “Frosty the Snow Man”, but today’s kids don’t like them as much as I did, they are too spoiled by all the computer animation!

    love ya,

I thought of one more special that I LOVE to watch and it is Rick Steve’s European Christmas! He looks at the different traditions of several European countries! I love this special and try to catch it on PBS at least once during the season. I already watched it this holiday season!

I never heard of it and it does sound good. But I would have to find it on DVD.

Angela, I have to take issue with your list. I remembered yesterday when I was at Target looking at Christmas videos, what movie Christmas with the Kranks was. Dumb. I am a John Grisham fan but that was a dumb book and a dumb movie.

I like that movie, oh well to each his own! You bought Elf, right, and I hate that movie! HA! :-)

Hi, I checked and I don’t own it. I only remember watching it once and I am not sure I remember anything about it. Also I think you have my movies with Tim Allen.
    I love you,
